You've Got To Try (Perseverance)
The buzzer sounds indicating time is over. Anfernee Hardaway rises from the circle of players around the coach. His team is down two points with five seconds left in the game. It is up to him to land a three point shot. The coach and team have full confidence in his ability to make the shot. In the brief seconds before taking the floor, Anfernee flashes back over his year's record as a first-year NBA player. Of the 1,142 shots he took in 1995, he hit 585 of them - a 51.2% scoring rate. "I can do this!" he things. "I've worked and practiced hard all year." Play begins and quickly Anfernee moves to the three-point line. The ball is passed to him. Guards swarm all over him, but he lets go of the ball and - it swishes through the hoop! The buzzer sounds, and fans stream onto the court.
